Professional organizations worldwide continue to experience increasingly sophisticated email scams, and unfortunately ISCD is no exception.

Phishing attempts that impersonate ISCD employees and volunteer leaders through email, text messages, social media, and messaging platforms may:

• Request sensitive information
• Change payment or banking instructions
• Send fraudulent or request invoices
• Request purchases gift cards or other items on behalf of ISCD

Please remain vigilant. If you receive an unusual or unexpected request claiming to be from ISCD, do not respond, click links, open attachments, or take action until the request has been independently verified. Common Signs of Phishing and Impersonation

Be alert for communications that include:

• Spoofed or misleading sender addresses
• Requests to communicate outside normal business channels
• Urgent requests involving payments, purchases, or sensitive information
• “Reply-To” addresses that differ from the sender’s address
• Domains that closely resemble ISCD’s official domain

In some cases, the sender’s address may appear legitimate, but replies are directed to an unrelated domain through the email’s Reply-To field.

Important Reminder

• ISCD does not make phone calls seeking money.
• ISCD’s official email domain is iscd.org.
• Always independently verify requests involving payments, banking information, invoices, purchases, or other sensitive business matters.
• Do not rely on contact information provided in a suspicious message. Contact the ISCD office for verification.
• If a message appears suspicious, follow your organization’s reporting procedures and disregard the communication until its legitimacy is confirmed.
