Asia Pacific Tripartite Alliance
A tripartite regional alliance was officially launched at the IOF Regional Meeting APAC in 2018 between the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and The International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), and the Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies (AFOS) to collaborate on a common platform to achieve their respective missions while complying with their own vision and identities.
The three organizations agree that: the bone field is facing impactful new challenges that require the optimization of resources, the creation of synergies and the mutual, cooperative efforts of the respective organizations; the health burden represented by osteoporosis and fragility fractures is growing in Asian countries; through their experience, expertise, and operations, each organization brings complementary resources beneficial to the fight against osteoporosis and fragility fractures in Asia.
