Board Positions Available in 2022 

  • President-Elect – (1-year term), The President-Elect shall discharge the duties of the President in case of the latter’s absence or disability. The President-Elect shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President of the Board. The President-Elect shall automatically become President upon the expiration of the term of President.
  • Vice President – (1-year term) The Vice-President shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the President of the Board. The Vice President is often asked to consider and is often nominated for, the President-Elect’s position immediately following his/her term as Vice President.
  • Treasurer – (3-year term) The Treasurer shall have responsibility for all monies of the ISCD and shall chair the Audit and Finance Committee. The Treasurer shall periodically render a report of all actions taken as Treasurer and of the financial condition of the Society.
  • Education Council Chair – (3-year term) The Education Council is made up of the chairs from all live course committees, the Online Learning Committee and the CME Committee. The council is charged with developing and overseeing ISCD educational courses and programs.
  • Marketing, Communications and Membership Committee Chair – (3-year term) This committee supports the growth and development of ISCD’s global presence, reputation for excellence in the field of Skeletal Health, and our international network of professional members. This working committee serves as a sounding board for the ISCD leadership in guiding decisions that support ISCD’s long term goals as a Society.
  • UK/Ireland Regional Panel Representative – (3-year term) The UK/Ireland Regional Panel is a group of skeletal health experts whose purpose is to address the mission of the ISCD and work towards achieving the goals and objectives of the ISCD in the UK/Ireland region. The representative must be a member of the panel and be a member of ISCD in good standing.

Q: Can I nominate myself?
A: Yes, self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. Nominees must be a Professional or Full Member (or willing to upgrade) for consideration.

Q: If elected, how much of a time commitment can I expect?
A: An officer or board member can expect to commit about 15 days per year to the activities of the Board including face-to-face board meetings and conference calls.
