Button
There is a button lateral to the ulnar styoid process. As part of the standard operating procedure for a DXA facility, external artifacts should be removed before scaning. In a Hologic scan, ths artifact would be removed from the soft tissue baseline. There is also motion artifact/tremor in the radius and ulnar (wavy lines).

There is a button seen on the undo view on this Hologic forearm scan. Therefore, the button would be removed from the soft tissue baseline. As part of the standard operating procedure in a DXA facility, any external artifacts should be removed prior to scanning.

Buttons are seen on these Hologic forearm scans.
