Database/ Ethnicity/ Z-score

This is an African American postmenopausal female analyzed as White instead of Black. The right panel shows the corrected scan. The Z-scores are affected and in this case the z-score is lower than when the individual is analyzed as White.

Case Description:

This is an African-American female who had a spine scan. The T-score is already reported against a white database per the ISCD consensus guidelines. In this case, the African-American female was analyzed as White instead of Black in the left panel. The right panel shows the corrected scan. In this case, the Z-scores change, but the T-scores remain unchanged.
