Nephrectomy Clips

There are surgical clips lateral and partially overlapping L1-L2. These clips came from a right nephrectomy. The surgical clips show up white on the dual energy image. The renal arteries come off the abdominal aorta at L1-L2 and are inferior to the superior mesenteric artery.

Because over overlying clips at L1 and L2, these levels were omitted from analysis.

Case Description:

There are clips lateral to L1-2 on the right. The renal artery generally comes off at L1-L2. The patient had a nephrectomy. Because of overlying clips over L1 and L2, these levels were omitted from analysis.
