Calcifications in the Soft Tissue Projecting over the Left Hip

 

There are calcifications that project over the left intertrochanteric region of the hip on the Hologic left hip scan.

This plain radiograph also shows the calcifications. From other radiographs available, it was determined that the calcifications were in the soft tissue and projected over the hip.

Case Description:

There are well circumscribed dense calcifications which project over the intertrochanteric region of the left femur. From other imaging the patient available, it was included that these calcifications were in the soft tissue.
